JC Penney’s new ad for Father’s Day
The text reads:
“First Pals: What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver—all rolled into one. Or two.” The text at the bottom reads: “Real-life dads, Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children Claire and Mason.”

“Our house was small, and when you grow up with domestic violence in a confined space you learn to gauge, very precisely, the temperature of situations. I knew exactly when the shouting was done and a hand was about to be raised – I also knew exactly when to insert a small body between the fist and her face, a skill no child should ever have to learn. Curiously, I never felt fear for myself and he never struck me, an odd moral imposition that would not allow him to strike a child. The situation was barely tolerable: I witnessed terrible things, which I knew were wrong, but there was nowhere to go for help. Worse, there were those who condoned the abuse. I heard police or ambulancemen, standing in our house, say, “She must have provoked him,” or, “Mrs Stewart, it takes two to make a fight.” They had no idea. The truth is my mother did nothing to deserve the violence she endured. She did not provoke my father, and even if she had, violence is an unacceptable way of dealing with conflict. Violence is a choice a man makes and he alone is responsible for it.”

We met on Tumblr, and started dating on May 15, 2011. I knew after a week of dating her that I was going to marry her, but I didn’t say it, cause she’d probably think I was crazy. None the less, not much more than a month later I packed my bags and got on a bus from Texas to North Carolina, because I had to be with her.
On May 11, 2012, Mallory and I got married.
She is the love of my life, my best friend. Without her, I would not be able to exist. She is the air I breathe, she completes my soul. She is my other half.
We are living proof that love at first sight exists, even through the internet.
We are living proof that two girls can make the best relationship.
We are living proof that age, gender, time, distance, parents, any obstacle, will NOT stop true love.
To my wife,
I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always. As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.

Eeepppp so many cuteness
